ITN Business announce: ‘Shaping the Future of Cancer Care’ – A news-style programme marking World Cancer Day 2024
ITN Business is proud to announce the production of our inspiring news-style programme, ‘Shaping the Future of Cancer Care’, dedicated to highlighting the invaluable work carried out by organisations in support of cancer patients and their families. This programme will be premiered online on World Cancer Day, raising awareness, and showcasing the global-scale research and innovative efforts aimed at fighting cancer.
World Cancer Day, observed annually on February 4th, brings together individuals, organisations, and communities worldwide to unite in the fight against cancer. With one person diagnosed every two minutes in the UK alone, cancer remains a disease that affects millions globally. However, it is heartening to note that survival rates have improved drastically, doubling over the last 40 years thanks to groundbreaking research and technology.
‘Shaping The Future of Cancer Care’ is a follow-up to our highly acclaimed programme, ‘Working Together To Tackle Cancer’, which received positive feedback and widespread audience engagement in 2023. This new programme will feature esteemed charities such as Prostate UK, Bowel Cancer UK, Young Lives vs Cancer, and the British Skin Foundation, whose thought leaders will provide insightful perspectives on the work they are doing to support cancer patients and their loved ones.
Nina Harrison-Bell, Head of ITN Business, expressed her enthusiasm for the programme, stating, “We are proud to present ‘Shaping the Future of Cancer Care’ on World Cancer Day, as it serves as a beacon of hope and progress towards a cancer-free world. Through this programme, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of preventative measures, early detection, and advancements in treatments.”
