Research shows that the financial impact of having a cancer diagnosis, for those living in the UK, is on average around £900 a month — on top of a person’s everyday living costs.

For our ‘Working Together to Tackle Cancer‘ programme that launched on World Cancer Day 2023, Head of Policy at MacMillan Cancer Support, Minesh Patel, sat down with our reporter Selina Downes, alongside Sal, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, to discuss her experiences and what Macmillan Cancer Support are doing to help support patients, and campaign for change during this difficult economic time.
