Launching on World Tourism Day – 27th September 2024
The way we travel is changing. From reducing our carbon footprint to the desire for more meaningful and impactful experiences, both on a human and societal level. We will showcase the importance of this conscious evolution in future proofing travel and tourism, the advances in tech and innovation revolutionising the sector, and the operators putting sustainable, accessible and responsible tourism at the top of their agenda.
To highlight how the travel industry is transforming, ITN Business will produce news-style programme, ‘Transformational Travel’, launching on World Tourism Day, the 27th of September 2024. The programme will showcase how the sector is changing to meet net zero targets, the impact responsible tourism has on maintaining biodiversity and the technologies and innovations that are redesigning the customer expectation and experience.
‘Transformational Travel’ will be hosted by Travel, and Climate presenter, Qasa Alom, from ITN’s London studio, and will feature organisations leading the way in digital innovation and those highlighting experiential and sustainable travel. We will share case study led stories of the impact more responsible travel has on communities and look ahead at what lies next for the industry.
Launching September 2024, ‘Transformational Travel’ will combine expert interviews, news items and reporter-led sponsored editorial profiles. The programme will feature thought leaders from the UN World Tourism Organization, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), the European Tourism Association (ETOA) and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
Nina Harrison-Bell, Head of ITN Business said: “By exploring the innovations and adaptations transforming the way we travel, our programme will highlight how responsible and sustainable travel is redesigning the customer experience, whilst providing an outlook of what’s next for the industry.’
The programme will be hosted on a bespoke page on the new ITN Business hub. It will also have an extensive digital campaign, across social platforms, alongside a Mail Online bespoke distribution campaign to reach a wider audience.
There are commercial opportunities for leading organisations to be featured in the programme and spearhead their own news item. If your organisation wants to share what you stand for and be part of this important conversation, please contact James Linden, ITN Business’ Head Programming Director, or Isabella Sharp.
